This is it! The great Job Scheduling Update of 2012! We made the first of a series of really cool improvements to our Job Scheduling feature over the weekend, and we’re really excited about it.

Visualizing jobs for a given day and divvying up the workload has never been easier. Jobber’s improved scheduling interface gives you the at-a-glance information you need to make quick, effective scheduling decisions.

Here’s How Jobber is Making Your Life Easier Recently

We’re constantly improving Jobber. When I say “constantly” I don’t mean once a year, or every few months, or just whenever something breaks.

I mean all-of-the-time.

At least once a week we push a major upgrade to Jobber. Usually there are several minor updates throughout the week as well. As a web application we have the benefit (and responsibility if you ask me) of ensuring that Jobber is always offering our customers the best that there is in business management software for service companies.

Why Should You Care About Cloud Computing?


Jobber is a web app that runs in the “cloud”. You may have heard the term before, but why should you care?

What is cloud computing?

Cloud computing is a term used by a lot of companies that provide software as a service instead of a product. Jobber is an example of a company that operates “in the cloud.” Instead of buying servers, we rent computing power by the hour. We also rent storage space by the GB, which we can access over the Internet. This keeps us from having to purchase and maintain our own hardware — an inherently costly and maintenance intensive endeavour. At Jobber we rent our computing power from Amazon (yes the book sellers) through a third party named Heroku.
