
Whew! It’s been far too long since our last post here on the Jobber Blog. We’ve been super busy as usual improving the software, adding features, and working with our growing user base to make sure everyone is happy and has everything they need.
We’re also quickly approaching the Holiday season, which is always a busy time for everyone. If you’re one of the many landscaping companies among us who get to start dealing with snowdrifts and icy windshields over the next few months, and you’re starting the shift into snow removal mode, then read on!
With Jobber you can easily manage both the Landscaping and Snow Removal sides of your business while maintaining the same customer base. To get started with this quick process just head into the Settings area of Jobber. If you need to, you can change your Company Name from the General tab. You can also enter a different tax registration number here if your two businesses are registered separately.

The next thing you may want to do is switch up some of your company’s branding. Your company name and logo can be changed from the Company Branding tab along the side. Again, you’ll only have to make changes here if your Landscaping and Snow Removal companies are distinct entities. The most important part of switching over from Landscaping to Snow Removal is to change the Services, Products and Packages that you offer.

Notice that my (simplified) lists contain both Landscaping and Snow Removal items. If this is your first seasonal switch-over, you’ll need to enter your snow removal item lists. If you need help doing this check out our Services & Products Documentation. Since I have both sets of items in my account, all I need to do is mark the Snow Removal items as active (so that they appear when I create Quotes, Jobs and Invoices) and mark the Landscaping items as inactive. Easy!

All you need to do to accomplish this is click on each item to edit it and then tick (or un-tick) the box at the top asking whether the item should be Active.
